Dear PGGNE Members and Friends,

We want to take this opportunity to welcome back familiar faces and introduce ourselves to new ones! PGGNE is especially excited to launch into the 2018-2019 season as we celebrate 40+ years of planned giving programming and networking. In Memory of Charlie Collier

PGGNE is deeply saddened by the recent death of our good friend and colleague from Harvard University, Senior Philanthropic Adviser Charles ("Charlie") W. Collier. If you haven't already, please take a moment to read the Boston Globe's tribute of a remarkable man who shaped our community and industry.


Mentoring Program
The kickoff of our 2018-2019 mentorship program begins at 10:00 am during coffee hour on Wednesday, October 17th. We are still accepting applications and are in need of more mentors.The goal of the Mentoring Program is to provide a mentee access to a gift planning professional colleague who has the skills, knowledge, experience, and desire to assist and provide guidance. PGGNE Scholarship Opportunities

PGGNE encourages all members to reach out to colleagues at smaller organizations, or to individuals who may lack the financial resources to sustain a full-time membership, but would benefit from our programming and training. Scholarship opportunities are currently available for the PG Fundamentals Course on November 15th, and the All-Day Conference on May 1st. Learn about the details and application guidelines.

Looking to explore best practices in charitable giving?

This year’s conference, on October 4th, will include opening remarks from Paul Grogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Boston Foundation, and a keynote address from Michael I. Norton, Brierley Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. Register and engage with professional advisors, family office leaders, non-profit professionals, and donors to share their experiences and learn from other experts.

The Leading By Example conference series was developed by The Boston Foundation, Boston College and Ropes & Gray LLP to bring together thought leaders in the field of philanthropy and social impact, and provide them a forum for the vibrant exchange of ideas and best practices.
