IMPORTANT UPDATE - Programming Changes Due to COVID-19

To the PGGNE Community,

As we welcome spring, PGGNE, like all of you, is working to adapt to a new normal—one that continues to change every day. The health of our membership, guests, and speakers continues to be our priority while we strive to provide valuable programming to help us navigate our work in an evolving setting. In light of this, we wanted to share the following updates regarding programs during the remainder of the PGGNE season.

Monthly Meeting, Wednesday, April 15th

Our in-person meeting at the Wyndham Hotel has been cancelled, but we are pleased to share that this program will be available via Zoom on April 15th. We are so grateful to Pentera which is sponsoring our April program.

  • At 11AM, Sarah Ruef-Lindquist, Financial Advisor at Allen Financial Group, will present “Charitable Remainder and Lead Trusts: Donor-Centered Review of Options for Optimal Planned Giving.”
  • At 12:30PM, Victoria Smith, Associate Director of Individual Giving and Engagement & Resource Development at Oxfam America, will present “A Different Lens on Humanitarian Fundraising.”

You can register here for our April program, and we will send a reminder email about it soon as well.

All-Day Conference, Friday, May 8th

Regrettably, we are cancelling PGGNE’s May All-Day Conference at the Revere Hotel. We had been pleased to have so many eager registrants, generous sponsors, and a fantastic line-up of speakers, but it was really a day tailored to coming together in person which is why we made this difficult decision.

If you had already registered for the conference or purchased the conference through a PLUS membership, registration fees may be refunded or converted to a contribution to help weather the economic conditions and the impact of the cancellation. Submit your registration refund request online by May 15, 2020 at

We are hopeful that PGGNE will be able to offer these great programs during the upcoming season.

May Webinar

In fact, you won’t have to wait long for the first such program! One of our originally scheduled conference speakers, Lisa Alvezi, Director of Customer Success at Gravyty, Inc., has offered to speak via webinar to our PGGNE audience in May. We will share details and open up registration soon for this program which will also include a brief “annual meeting” of updates from the PGGNE board.

Summer 2020

There is a lot of pent-up networking in our midst, and we are hopeful that there may be an opportunity for PGGNE members and friends to come together this summer. While we don’t know what future months may hold, we are exploring ways to connect in person for networking and relevant content, so stay tuned.

On behalf of the PGGNE Board, we hope you and your loved ones are well and that you are finding new ways to stay connected during this time of physical distancing. We certainly want to remain connected to you and hope you will join us in April and May from the comfort of our own homes. Thank you for your patience and support.

With Best Regards,
