This presentation will provide a multi-dimensional view from the latest 2016 U.S. Healthy Aging Database® study on elements of healthy aging and how market adjacencies may impact the how, when and why of charitable giving marketing communications. We’ll look at how donors prefer to learn about organizations and the vehicles best suited to communicate by nonprofit sector.

In the presentation we’ll also provide data from the study that will drive strategic direction and demonstrate how some simple changes that any organization can make to their marketing communications materials can improve the chance of resonating with donors. We will show “before and after” examples of print and digital materials.

U.S. taxation of non-U.S. persons is substantially different from the standard taxation of U.S. persons. The differences can have a profound effect on tax-oriented philanthropy and on planned giving in particular. A basic understanding of the concepts underlying the applicable tax rules is therefore critical in determining how to approach non-U.S. potential donors.

The election of a Republican president, combined with the resurgence of the Republican party to majorities in both the Senate and the House, led to widespread anticipation of major tax reform in 2017. This session will provide a brief overview of current legislative and other proposals and how they could affect both tax and charitable planning

* As a Member benefit, if you cannot attend a monthly meeting you can send a substitute from your organization in your place. See policy below. Your "substitute" should register for the meeting using their contact information and at the bottom of the form follow instructions for substitutes. 


 

Policies

Registration Policy

Registrations must be received by 10:00 AM the Friday prior to the meeting. Once registration is closed it will state CLOSED within the meeting Program Calendar listing. Full Members that do not register prior to the close of registration will be asked to register on-site, a $20 fee will be incurred for lunch.

 

Substitution Policy

Non-profit Members and Allied Profession Members of PGGNE may send a substitute to monthly meetings at no charge as long as the member has registered for the program in advance (see REGISTRATION POLICY above). If the member has not registered in advance, substitutes will be charged a fee of $20 upon registration on-site for lunch.

 

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are required by 10:00 AM on the Friday prior to the meeting. In accordance, only refund requests received by this time will be granted. Email your cancellation/refund request to info@pggne.org. All emails received will be acknowledged. 

 

Snow Policy
PGGNE meetings may be cancelled if the mayor or governor has declared a state of emergency in Boston. If the meeting is cancelled an alert will be posted on the website and the PGGNE office will record a voice mail message (at 781-647-4343, press *300) by 8:00 AM on the day of the meeting.
