Establishes lists of prospective donors (independently through referrals and working with Directors of Major Gifts, Region Vice Presidents, State Development and Cancer Control Vice Presidents and Area Directors) and will identify Legacies and Planned Giving prospects by using National criteria for mailing Reflections newsletters and life income packages, placing public service ads in selected publications. Schedule quarterly seminars on Legacies and Planned Giving and mailing "Financial Briefs" (to appropriate professional audiences). Schedules appointments and personally solicits all prospects making personal contact to cultivate and interest them in making a gift to the American Cancer Society, either as a direct gift, bequest or a planned gift through their will, trust or other giving agreements. (Utilizing volunteers to open doors, schedule appointments, etc as appropriate.) Assists the potential donor and their advisors in determining the best method of making such a gift considering the donors needs, desires and the tax implications of the different gift methods. Use Crescendo software for life income gifts as needed. Uses CRM to track prospects. Works with Regions to implement marketing plan and to achieve Legacies and Planned Giving Outcome Objectives, establishes telemarketing procedures for all inbound and outbound Legacies and Planned Giving calls. Assists the Division in developing the annual budget for and administering the Planned Giving Programs. Implements Heritage League recognition program. Actively supports capital campaign as appropriate (i.e. endowment). Other duties as assigned.
