PG Basics: A Beginner's Curriculum
Beginning with the Mentoring and Newcomers Coffee at the October meeting, PGGNE draws on its wealth of local expertise to cover topics and offer networking resources that are most relevant and timely for newcomers to the gift planning profession. Not only are these sessions designed for major gift officers, annual fund officers, and those new to planned giving, but even our more advanced members will also want to take advantage of the opportunity for a refresher course from time to time.
PG Basics courses are scheduled on the following dates from 11 am - 12 pm:
- October 19, 2011: Mentoring and Newcomers Coffee
- November 9, 2011: What Do I Need to Know About Planned Giving, Rachel Moore, Smith College
- December 14, 2011: Bequests, Frank and Ellen Estes, Estes & Associates
- January 11, 2012: Life Income Gifts, Robert A. Barr, St. Paul's School
- February 1, 2012: Tax Aspects of Charitable Giving, Jeff Underwood, Kaspick & Company
- March 7, 2012: Retirement Planning and Charitable Giving, Steven M. Dalton, CFP®, ChFC®, CRPC®, AAMS®
- April 4, 2012: Basics Summary of the Year, Anne McClintock, Harvard University
May 2, 2012: All Day Conference: Basics track (presenters and sessions yet be determined)
Location: Radisson Hotel, 200 Stuart Street, Boston, MA
Cost: Free to current Full Members of PGGNE; $65.00 per class for non-members and Associate Members (the fee includes the Luncheon and Luncheon Program)
