JOIN THE MENTORING AND NEWCOMER PROGRAM!

This year we will continue our longstanding mentoring program, matching newcomers with experienced practitioners.

We hope you will participate, and join us for the second year of the phenomenally successful Basics Track, offering a fundamental introduction to gift planning.

WHO BENEFITS FROM HAVING A MENTOR?

  • Anyone with less than five years of experience in planned giving
  • Planned giving professionals who are sole practitioners
  • Career-changers moving to gift planning from law or finance, or from the non-profit sector to the for-profit sector
  • Newcomers to the region

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER BEING A MENTOR?
Experienced planned giving practitioners who enjoy teaching Senior development professionals with broad fundraising experience Professionals who have moved from a private company to a charity – or vice versa

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
Mentors are responsible for making initial contact with assigned mentees. All mentors should be available for at least one individual meeting with mentees during the year and at least two phone calls.

After receiving an initial contact from the mentor, mentees should take responsibility for getting the most out of this relationship, seeking reasonable assistance with planned giving issues, requesting career guidance, etc.
