Dartmouth College, located in Hanover, New Hampshire, and a member of the Ivy League, seeks a Managing Director for Athletics Fundraising. There are 71,000 living alumni of the College. The Dartmouth endowment is currently $2.8 Billion. This is a high profile opportunity in the Dartmouth College Fund reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Dartmouth College Fund (DCF). The new hire will be responsible for raising the maximum current-use dollars for Dartmouth College Athletics. We seek a dynamic advancement professional who will provide strategic leadership and effective management and inspiration to fundraising volunteers responsible for securing annual Athletic gifts from a diverse constituency. The Managing Director is responsible for solicitation activities as well as recruiting, training, and coaching volunteers. 4+ years of progressive fundraising experience required. Experience in an annual fund and major gifts role within education including athletics campaign environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in soliciting, closing and stewardship of high end gifts is essential. Volunteer management experience with high-level volunteers such as trustees and advisory boards is strongly preferred. Marketing experience and supervisory experience are both strongly preferred.
