How to Build a Bequest-Based Planned Giving Program from Scratch

Learn how a bequest-based planned giving program can take your fundraising to the next level, cementing relationships with supporters, increasing revenues, and helping to secure the financial future of your organization. The session will focus on the steps necessary to launch and maintain a bequest program, including consensus-building with your bond and leadership, marketing, stewardship, and estate administration. The session will also briefly touch on how to extend a bequest-based program by adding other types of planned gifts.

Gift Annuities, the ACGA, and Beyond

In this discussion, we'll start with the ACGA's basic assumptions that go into suggesting charitable gift annuity rates. We'll discuss the potential direction of suggested rates and will get into some current issues surrounding the management of CGA assets.

Jai Chanda, Managing Director, Head of Charitable Asset Management at State Street Global Advisors

 

Studies and research have suggested that companies with a better balance of gender representation within senior leadership have historically performed better than those companies without gender diversification. In this session, Jai will focus on the concept of investing with an impact. He will provide an overview of current trends in philanthropy, share results from State Street’s research studies on impact investing, and explore the importance of gender diversity investing as well as the charitable provision surrounding gender diversity.

* As a Member benefit, if you cannot attend a monthly meeting you can send a substitute from your organization in your place. See policy below. Your "substitute" should register for the meeting using their contact information and at the bottom of the form follow instructions for substitutes. 


 

Policies

Registration Policy

Registrations must be received by 10:00 AM the Friday prior to the meeting. Once registration is closed it will state CLOSED within the meeting Program Calendar listing. Full Members that do not register prior to the close of registration will be asked to register on-site, a $20 fee will be incurred for lunch.

 

Substitution Policy

Non-profit Members and Allied Profession Members of PGGNE may send a substitute to monthly meetings at no charge as long as the member has registered for the program in advance (see REGISTRATION POLICY above). If the member has not registered in advance, substitutes will be charged a fee of $20 upon registration on-site for lunch.

 

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are required by 10:00 AM on the Friday prior to the meeting. In accordance, only refund requests received by this time will be granted. Email your cancellation/refund request to info@pggne.org. All emails received will be acknowledged. 

 

Snow Policy
PGGNE meetings may be cancelled if the mayor or governor has declared a state of emergency in Boston. If the meeting is cancelled an alert will be posted on the website and the PGGNE office will record a voice mail message (at 781-647-4343, press *300) by 8:00 AM on the day of the meeting.
